New, Comprehensive Policy Administration System Creates Customer Value and Sunsets 20+ Underlying Systems

GOAL:

In this project, a leading Fortune 100 P&C carrier sought to develop and deliver a new, strategic rate/quote/issue system for a complex, $2B line of business across all markets. Objectives included streamlined customer experience, increased ease of doing business, and effective collection and utilization of data while facilitating the deprecation of 20 underlying systems across as many business units.

SOLUTION:

We built, launched, and scaled an inaugural agile digital product management function, enabling efficient and adaptable management of product and program scope and business value. This included the development and optimization of vision, roadmap, requirements, execution, and reporting information and processes. As the initiative took shape and continued to scale, we worked collaboratively to grow and manage the program internally from five to 25 teams across four value streams.

RESULTS:

This project spanned the full end-to-end policy administration process and included more than 1,100 forms, multiple rating methodologies, and the collection and application of new and exponentiated data. We worked diligently to build and grow a successful program, organizing around business and customer value, and developing and successfully implementing a robust rollout strategy to drive accelerated delivery.

This resulted in initial implementation three quarters earlier than projected and set the stage for continued success in the development and delivery of multiple additional releases.
